Autumn is here, and so are the cyclamen 🌸

When most of the garden slows down after the long Mediterranean summer, cyclamen are just getting started. Autumn is their season, so this year I bought a few from a garden shop and planted them: bright pink, purple-and-white, and pure white.

What I learned: no direct sun

Cyclamen don’t like direct sunlight. They prefer bright light without strong sun, and a cool spot. That makes sense when you know where they come from: wild cyclamen grow in shady, rocky places under trees around the Mediterranean, and they grow during the cool, rainy months.

My plan: keeping them until next year

I’d like to keep mine in a suitable cool place and grow them on until next year. 🌱
